ABOUT

The Department of Anatomy came into existence in 2024, as one of the first departments of the Undergraduate wing of the Autonomous state medical college, Pilibhit. It occupies in excess of 25,000 sq.ft. and has a part of ground floor of the Dean’s Office also. The first Head of the Department Dr. Archana Singh, started developing the department under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Aneja, Principal ASMC, Pilibhit, from the root level and laid an excellent academic foundation by her untiring efforts.

The Department of Anatomy is committed to providing students with a world-class learning environment, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology. Our facilities include:

  1. Hi-Tech Dissection Hall: with embalming facility, Well-equipped with sufficient dissection tables and instruments. Mortuary coolers with capacity to hold six cadavers. 4K HD Camera with an 86-inch Interactive Display Panel and a 65-inch LED screen for detailed demonstrations. Complete bone sets available for study and practice.
  2. Advanced Modular Histology Lab: Equipped with sufficient student microscopes and a wide range of histological slides. High-end Trinocular Microscope with High-Definition Camera connected to a 75-inch Display Unit for enhanced teaching and visualization.
  3. Research and Museum Facilities: Well-equipped Research Laboratory featuring advanced Binocular and Trinocular Microscopes. Anatomy Museum showcasing a wide collection of models, charts, bones, specimens, and a radiological display unit.
  4. Departmental Facilities: Departmental Library with a rich collection of reference books and journals. Seminar Room for academic discussions and presentations. Two Demonstration Rooms fitted with LCD projectors and screens for effective teaching.
  5. Faculty and Staff Amenities: Adequate faculty and staff rooms furnished with necessary gazettes and internet facilities to ensure a conducive work environment.
